While Artemis got the better start, Luna Rossa soon popped up on her foils at the first reaching mark and managed to sail straight over the top of Artemis Racing and into the lead.

Luna Rossa Challenge easily stretched their lead as the Swedish boat struggled get onto her hydrofoils in the lighter 11-15 knot west sou 'westerly winds. Artemis made up nice distance on the second upwind leg by picking up a 20-degree windshift, but by then Luna Rossa was too far ahead and the Italians clocked up their second win of the series.
