London 2012 Olympic Games – Australian Sailing Preview – Day 6 – Friday 3 August

Australia’s 470 women are in action for the first time on Friday as they begin the defence of Elise Rechichi’s Beijing 2008 gold medal.

Racing continues for the 49er, 470 men and Finn fleets, with the Laser and Laser Radial classes back on the water after a lay day. The Women’s Match Racing and RS:X fleets have the day off.

49er – Nathan Outteridge & Iain Jensen – 10/6 – 24 points – 1st overall
Women’s Match Racing – Olivia Price, Nina Curtis & Lucinda Whitty –1st – wins against ESP and DEN
470 men – Mathew Belcher & Malcolm Page – 3/9 – 12 points – 5th overall
RS:X Women – Jessica Crisp – 7/12 – 57 points – 12th overall
Finn – Brendan Casey – 19/9 – 92 points – 14th overall
