More Training For Team Tiger As Asian Departure Looms

The Easy Tiger Racing crew were out on the water today on Sydney's beautiful Pittwater squeezing in their last training session before heading to Thailand on Wednesday to compete in the Platu Coronation Cup at the Top Of The Gulf Regatta that kicks off on Friday.

"Today's session went really well. The team was on fire and we are ready to rock and roll at the Coronation Cup on the Platu 25. Today we had 15-20 knots of breeze and we worked on the key mechanics of getting around the corners. These regattas are won on corners. Looking forward to jumping on the plane, bring it on," Skipper Chris Way said.

Central Coast sailor Peter Winter joked that he is a Thailand virgin as this will be his first time yacht racing in the exotic Asian playground.

"I'm a little bit scared especially after hearing some of the stories the other guys have told me," Winter said. "But all jokes aside I am excited about sailing there. Today were were dialling in some new spinnaker hoist techniques. We worked on our mark roundings and have organised all our spare gear to take with us," he added.
