Tigers Do The Business and Stay Consistent - Day 2 Melges 32 Nationals

Three races were held in 20 knots of breeze for Day 2 of the Melges 32 Australian Championships at Pittwater, Sydney.

The forecasted 25 knot southerly wind didn’t kick in but the racing was fierce. Stronger winds down the shoreline made it harder for the leaders to defend their position in the flukey southerly wind phased left and right as it came off the land.

Easy Tiger Skipper (aka Tiger Daddy), Chris Way helming The Business with Rockstar tactician, Steve McConaghy had the most consistent results of the day, with three third places.

This weekend is the first time Way and the Tigers have raced onboard a Melges 32.

“Today was awesome sailing with great rides, long nose was going off. We are sailing with old gear and we’re still going quick. Racing the F18 catamaran sailing has really helped with chasing the pressure,” Way said.
