Shogun V Smokes Fleet at Willy - Festival Of Sails Invitational Race

Rob Hanna, owner of the glamour TP52 Shogun V was one happy camper yesterday after taking out the invitational IRC regatta hosted by the Royal Victorian Yacht Club over the weeekend.

The event is a lead in to the Festival of Sails regatta that commences on Australia Day with a passage race from Williamstown to Geelong. Conditions peaked at 25 knots.

"We had a good regatta and we used the event as a training opportunity to iron out any glitches in our crew work and to try a number of different sail combinations," Hanna said back on the dock after racing on Sunday afternoon.

Jason Van Der Slot finished second overall followed by Terra Firma, owned by Nicholas Bartels.

Robert Date's Scarlett Runner finished in fourth place followed by the DK46 Extasea owned by the Paul Buchholz in fifth.
