Georgia Gets Two Bullets Today at Festivsl Of Sails

The Kiwi IRC 52 showed who's boss today at the Festival Of Sails Regatta in Geelong with three wins in the IRC A fleet. Jim Farmer and his mixed Aussie/Kiwi crew dominated from whoa to go.

Crew member Rob McGrath said: "We are very happy to take a clean sweep today after crossing second over the line yesterday in the passage race. Today's conditions really suited our boat. In the lighter air we were very fast downwind. The boat has had some major modifications done before this regatta including a new keel and a new sail wardrobe."

Without divulging too much secret info, the sister-ship to the 2009/2010 Audi MedCup Champion, Emirates Team New Zealand, now called Hooligan and owned by Marcus Blackmore, has clearly hit her stride. Watch this space as the regatta progresses.

Calm racked up a third, second and fourth to take second place in the overall series while Robert Hanna's Shogun V clocked up a second, a fourth and a sixth to be sitting pretty in third overall.

The glamour TP52 previously known as Audi Azzurra in Audi MedCup in 2011  features a rockstar crew including two times America's Cup winner, Grant Simmer, Volvo Ocean Race bowman, Morgan White and Alby Pratt from the North Sails loft in Mona Vale, Sydney.

Scarlett Runner had a better day and looks to have ironed out any glitches with crew work and sail combinations. Wait for the Doll to pounce as there is plenty of bite in this fleet and with two more days or racing anything could happen. Living Doll and Terra Firma are just getting warmed up.
