“It's a modern boat, fun but also competitive, demanding and technical,” the Spanish representative for the class, Víctor Mariño said.
“One Design and real time are the future of sailing, and that's what Spain should aim for. The Melges 32 class is perfect as it's simple to mount, transport and maintain,” Mariño added.
The class attracts many of the world's leading sailors including America's Cup yachtsmen Russell Coutts, James Spithill, Cameron Appleton and Vasco Vascotto.
