Audi Azzurra Sailing Team lead at the leeward gate but were forced over to the less favoured right as they struggled with their spinnaker drop. Audi Sailing Team powered by ALL4One rocketed down the left hand side of the course on the upwind leg to lead around the final windward mark and scored the gun by nearly 30 seconds.

Audi Azzurra Sailing Team crossed third, only one second ahead of Bribon, while an otherwise promising day was ruined for Synergy when they lost out in a port starboard incident on the finish line, penalised to seventh.
