Extreme 40 - Extreme Sailing Series Act 3 Kicks Off Today in Istanbul

Expect action aplently as these pro teams go hell for leather on these high tech 40 foot catamarans in Istanbul this week.
The Italians are out to repeat their performance in China
Can Luna Rossa hold off the Kiwi's by repeating their success in China in April? Or will Dean Barker and his ETNZ boys be out to settle some scores? Terry Hutchinson on Artemis is ready for battle and eager to show off his newly acquired multi-hull prowess.
The Wave, Muscat
The Wave, Muscat has been repaired after that spectacular stack in China with Australia's Torvar Mirsky on the helm.
Red Bull Extreme Sailing
Add Alinghi and Ian Williams leading Team GAC Pindar to the mix and this week's event should be a wild ride featuring some of the world's top match racing and America's Cup talent.

Light north, north easterly conditions of 8-10 knots are expected and should build to 16 knots by Saturday. All set against a backdrop of one of the world's most spectacular ancient Ottoman empires.
